Help Wanted: Seeking Professional Opinion(s)

You are the most talented and creative people I know, and I'm not just saying that because I'm about to ask your opinion about something...

It's because I'm horrible at making decisions, and my husband (who proudly makes dog food for a living) doesn't spend much of his "free time" crafting, so I thought I'd go straight to the experts (you) for advice....

....here goes...

Do you think we should use this for our Christmas table centerpiece?
Teehee...sometimes I kill myself.

Actually, this isn't my real question, but I had to share Max's most recent craft project.  He today decided he had to paint this pumpkin, and the only washable paint I could find was red and yellow finger paint.
(Please excuse all of the crap our "memory-making" and half-finished floor in the background)

Emme was not inspired by Max's pumpkin project....
...she decided painting the table, cardboard, and her hands would be more fun.

******
Okay, so here's my real dilemma (is it ironic that I can't spell that word)...
I made a driftwood mirror to put on Etsy:
I haven't cleaned it up at all because I truly need advice on what to do....so there's glue strings and paper scraps everywhere.

Just to "see," I stuck a couple paper flowers on it...
(yes, that is my hand/camera in the mirror, you'll see them again)

Hmmmm...so I sort of liked the way it looked, though it's not really my typical style.  I thought it might be a twist on the typical driftwood mirror idea.

Then I added some gold leaves like the ones on my wreaths:

(By the way, none of this is glued down, so the flowers are kind of jammed into the holes)

And then I added even more leaves...

So then, I was about to go look for my spray glitter, neon puffy paint, and bedazzler...and thought I'd better stop and ask for help before I reach the point of no return.

Please be honest with me....do you like it:
1. Plain
2. Couple Flowers
3. Couple Flowers and a few Strategically Placed Leaves
4. All-Out Jungle Mirror (the one with lots of leaves)
5. Just Burn the Whole Thing
6. It's okay, But What You Should Do Is.... (and then you share your incredibly amazing idea, and I become an overnight Internet sensation like the grumpy cat)

My goal is to sell the mirror.

If you've read my blog in the past, you know most of my stuff is pretty plain...I have trouble knowing when to stop, so I usually opt for the safe route and keep it simple.

Begging for help at these link-up parties:

Thanks so much!!

take care -

A Couple of New Projects Finished

What day is it again?
When's Christmas?
Are you sure?
Really?
Oh my.

Wow, it's been one of those weeks where losing my mind seems like a total possibility!  (It could be easily be lost anywhere in my house, and it would take a good week to dig it out from the piles of toys, Christmas paraphernalia, crafting stuff, and paint cans.)

To add a little excitement to the week, I found out Monday night around 9:00pm that the farm table sold from my booth. (YAY!!!) I knew my pink dresser had sold over the weekend (YAY AGAIN), and that there would be a pretty big hole in my booth, but I thought the space would be fine until after Christmas.  When the table sold...well, that's half my booth, so I couldn't wait to fill it in.
Since none of my larger pieces have sold, I wasn't expecting this surprising wonderful news, and didn't have anything ready to take its place.

***5:00am Yesterday***
Subject #1:
I wish I had an actual "before" pictures showing the pretty pink bow stickers adhered below each of the 12 non-matching plastic knobs.

Please excuse the sippy cup - repainting 3 pieces of furniture in 10 hours with 2 clingy adorably loving toddlers can be total insanity a challenge, though I'm happy to report that no children were harmed in the making of this post.

Subject #2:

Subject #3:
Small stained wood table (forgot a picture...sorry)

***Fast-forward to 5:00pm***
Subject#1:
I didn't have 12 matching knobs, so these are from our kitchen cabinets...repainted.  We planned on replacing them....eventually.  I lined the drawers with really cute striped paper, but my camera battery died while I was taking pictures.

Subject #2:

Subject #3:
(The purple table)  You'll NEVER guess what I used on this table....coffee filters left over from making a wreath...(if you're interested, here's a tutorial I did for another rolled paper flower wreath)

I wish I had better pictures of the table, I was pretty happy with how it turned out...my husband said, "I think you've found every possible way to use coffee filters..."  Ha!  Is that a challenge!!!  I have only JUST begun..bwah hah hah!

uhhhh....Back to the booth....

It's looking a little sparse - I have a bookshelf and a couple dressers I need to work on to fill in the holes.

and I want to redo the backdrop, mine is looking really sad

"Sparse" is something I can handle when it's due to things selling!

I can't thank those of you who've offered bits of your booth-expertise to me...I'm planning on using many of your suggestions going forward.  I really, really appreciate it though....

I can't believe how much my life has changed since I started blogging in August...I can't thank those of you who visit and follow my blog enough for your kindness, support, advice, and friendship.

I wish each of you a very happy holiday season!!

Finally, The Farm Table

This table was featured by Sherry at The Charm of Home at her weekly Home Sweet Home Link- Up Party and by Good Luck Charlie at Redoux.  Their parties are each Friday, and if you haven't linked up before, I highly recommend them.  Thank you so much to both of these lovely ladies for featuring my husband's table...I know he'll be giddy with excitement...as soon as I explain what "being featured' means. :)

Promised a couple weeks ago, I finally have pictures of the farm table my husband built out of an old door and reclaimed barn wood....

...see the hinges in the corners...

Here it is decorated for Christmas:

We moved into our house in September, and if you've looked at the pictures of our last house, you'll see that our new home isn't really our style yet.  I've been spending all of my "free time" working on my blog and starting my business, so the house has been put on the back burner for a while.  Please use your imagination a little bit...pretty curtains, hardwood floors, paint, etc.

Our family doesn't "do" decorated tables for holidays or any days...putting raw veggies on a tray is "fancy," so I just tried some different decor ideas for fun...

We don't own a set of formal china - it would never be used...I love the look of layered dishes and chargers, but they aren't something that we'd EVER use in real life.

We live in a private lake community, and the wood is from the beach near our house.

Don't worry, I've put many coats of poly on the top to protect the future owner from consuming paint chips.
Everything but the top was made from reclaimed barn wood.

Have you decided on your Christmas table decor yet?  Does your family do a lot of decorating for Christmas?  I know we'll do a lot more once our kids are older...right now, it's just too much trouble to have items out that will certainly be chewed on, played with, climbed upon, dropped, used as a projectile...ya know?

Hope you are enjoying the holiday season.
